Weligama: the slow mornings that changed how I travel

A love letter to a fishing town on the south coast, and the surf break that taught me to stop rushing.

Weligama isn't on most Sri Lanka itineraries and I'm almost glad. It's scrappy, it's local, and the beach break is the friendliest in the country if you've never stood on a board before.\n\nI came for three days and stayed six weeks. Here's what a typical morning looks like now.

The Postcard

A slow letter from wherever I am, every other Sunday.

No algorithm, no ads. Just where I've been, what I'm reading, and the trips I'm quietly planning next.
